• 13 – 15 November - Interview/presentation of applicants to the juries

EXPORT AWARDS CATEGORIES

• 2024 Exceptional Exporter
  For exceptional exporter of 2024 who has shown effort to export their services or products
  to international market with maximum quantity and quality in the sector of agriculture,
  fishery, tourism, industry and manufacturing.
• 2024 Potential Exporter
  For potential exporter of 2024 who has not exported, however, has seriousness and
  commitment to run business or export their services or products to international market
  with adequate quantity and quality in the sector of agriculture, fishery, tourism, industry
  and manufacturing.
• 2024 Youth Social Business Startups with export orientation
  For young entrepreneur who has motivation to start-up small scale businesses and to
  expand their businesses for export ready.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Company’s permanent residence is in Timor-Leste
• Have valid Business Registration Certificate from SERVE
• Have valid Commercial Registration Certificate from SERVE (TIN)
• Have valid Export License or Export Authorization from MCI (apply only for
  applicants who have exported or applicants applying for category 1)
• Have valid Tax Certificate from Tax Authority – MoF
• A company is eligible to apply for one category only
• A company that has been established or run its business at least in 12 months or
  less for start-up business
• For category 3 (Youth Social Business Startups), the company must be owned by
  youth aged between 18 to 35 years old (provide identity card as evidence)
• Encourage for all types of enterprises to apply (cooperatives, limited sole, etc.)
• Encourage to all enterprises that have exported and have potential to export to
  apply
• Government’s Agencies are not eligible to apply
• Late application with inadequate information will be rejected
• Winners from 2017, 2018 and 2019 are still eligible to apply for the 2024
  Export Awards

JUDGING CRITERIA

Areas of focus include:

• The degree of innovation in the marketing strategy
• Export growth achieved and the ability to sustain that growth
• Evidence of sustainable competitive advantage
• Value and contribution of exporting to business expansion
• The overall company commitment to international business
• Job creation for local Timorese
